POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist men's tennis was defeated in a close match against NJIT Sunday night in a non-conference matchup, 4-3.
 

DOUBLES

• In the third position, Jack Sequerth and Augusto Gonzalez-Bonorino fell to NJIT by a score of 6-2.
• Gabe Castillo and Christian Mills took the victory in the second position, 6-3.
• NJIT secured the doubles points after defeating Dylan Friedman and Carlos Vasquez in the first position.

 

SINGLES

• Augusto Gonzalex-Bonorino was defeated in the fourth position by Oscar Callo Von Platen, 0-6, 0-6.
• In the first position, Dylan Friedman defeated Abdullah Fouad, 6-2, 6-0.
• Sequerth fell in the fifth position to Ashwin Kanetkar, 3-6, 0-6.
• Castillo collected the victory in the second position against Amine El Kholti.
• In three sets, Mills won in the third position against Josh Smith, 6-0, 4-6, 6-3.
• NJIT secured the dual-match victory defeating Vasquez in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 3-6.
