Leonard-Osbourne Breaks Own School Record at Penn Relays

Red Foxes Complete Competition at Prestigious Event

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The Marist men's track and field team completed the Penn Relays on Saturday afternoon with multiple strong performances. 

 
Leonard-Osbourne Breaks Record
  • Sprinter Glenmour Leonard-Osbourne broke his own school record in the 100-meter dash by racing to a time of 10.36 seconds at the Penn Relays, qualifying for the finals, where he placed sixth overall on Saturday afternoon. In the 100 dash finals, he finished with a time of 10.39 seconds, which equaled his previous school record.
  • On Friday afternoon, Leonard-Osbourne's time of 10.36 seconds was third fastest of the 29 sprinters, most from national-caliber track programs. In Saturday's final, his time of 10.39 seconds earned him a sixth-place finish in the college men's 100-meter dash championship race.  
Little Competes in 5,000
  • On Thursday night, distance runner Ramsey Little competed in the 5,000-meter run, where he placed 60th in a time of 14:42.44. Earlier this season, Little had broken the school record in the event. He also holds the school record in the indoor 5,000.

  •    The Marist Track and Field team will compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship in Lawrence Township, New Jersey. The meet is set for May 7-8.
