Cloe Clements defeated Cornell, an Ivy league team seeded 4th in her flight, by a score of 6-0, 6-2, and then defeated UConn of the Big East in straight sets in the Round of 16.
Â
"I was very pleased at the overall performance of the women at West Point. Â The ladies had a number of impressive wins in both singles and doubles, notably freshman
Cloe Clements, who took down both Cornell and UConn in the first two rounds of her flight. Â And a special shout-out to transfer Isabella Tounizi, who made it to Sunday play in the semifinals of her flight, where she lost a tough two-setter to Colgate. Â A very positive weekend for the ladies." Â
