Women's Swim & Dive Triumph Over Southern Connecticut

Sweeney, Swanson Lead the Red Foxes with Multiple Wins

POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK- The Marist women's swim and dive team won in its return to the McCann Natatorium. The Red Foxes defeated the Owls of Southern Connecticut, 177-118, Wednesday afternoon.
 
Highlights
  • Diver Madison Sweeney placed in first for both the one-meter (223.13) and three-meter (252.08) dives.
  • Junior swimmer Sophia Swanson placed first in the 50-yard butterfly (27.39) and the 100-yard butterfly (59.86).
  • Freshman Lucie Gray finished first in the 50-yard breaststroke (33.22).
  • The women swept the podium for the 100-yard freestyle. Margaret Hartman placed first (55.16), Charlotte Lepis placed second (55.64), and Sophia Swanson finished third (56.05)
  • The Red Foxes placed first and second in the 200-yard medley relay, with the A team (1:52.75) and the B team (1:53.43).
