POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist women's basketball team will host the Fairfield Stags this Saturday, Jan. 14 for another conference matchup.  Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes defeated St. Peter's 59-43.
• The Red Foxes took an early 8-2 lead in the first quarter.
• Saint Peter's would go on a mini-run to tie the game at 10 apiece. The Red Foxes closed out the first quarter leading 15-10.
• The Red Foxes would continue to add to their lead, opening the second quarter with a three-pointer from Zaria Shazer.
• Marist led 31-22 heading into the locker room at half. The Red Foxes shot .636 from the field and .500 for three in the second quarter.
• The Red Foxes held the Peacocks to just seven points in the third. The Red Foxes went on two six point runs in the third quarter. 
• To close out the game in the fourth quarter, the Red Foxes shot .357 from the field and .667 from three. Marist defeated Saint Peter's 59-43. 
• For the game the Red Foxes shot .417 from the field and .313 from behind the arc. 
• Marist outrebounded Saint Peter's 44-37. 
• Three Red Foxes scored in double figures: Shazer (15), Maeve Donnelly (12), and Kendall Krick (11). 
• Shazer had her second double-double of the season. She also had a game-high 13 rebounds, and came up just one assist shy of a triple-double with nine. The nine assists set a career high.
• Donnelly scored double figures for the second time this season.

SCOUTING FAIRFIELD

• Fairfield is 8-7 overall and 4-2 in the MAAC.
• The Red Foxes have a 38-23 record against the Stags.
• The Stags have won the last two matchups against the Red Foxes.
• Callie Cavanaugh leads the MAAC in points with 256 points total, averaging 17.1 per game.
• The Fairfield defense ranks sixth in the MAAC for average points against per game, allowing an average of 64 points per game.
