POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist men's swim and dive team dominated on Senior Day in the McCann Natatorium this Saturday. The Red Foxes flourished, winning 203-97 against Bryant University.

The Marist women's swim and dive team fell short on Senior Day. The Red Foxes lost to the Bryant Bulldogs 171-129.

 

Senior Highlights

• Senior Adam Kapusta placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.87). Kapusta also placed first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.36) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:56.56).
• Graduate student Ahmed Sallam finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (52.46). Ahmed also placed first in the 50-yard freestyle (21.35) and first in the 100-yard freestyle (47.33).
• Senior Leigh-Anne Zanella placed first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.15)
• Graduate student Madison Sweeney placed second in the three-meter dive (233.18) and third in the one-meter dive (231).
• Senior Tyler Wenzel placed second in the one-meter dive (239.40) and third in the three-meter dive (230.48).
• Senior Molly Hewett placed first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.78).
• Graduate student Veronica Stureborg finished first in the 200-yard IM (2:14.24).

  

Notable Highlights

• The men finished first and second in the 200-yard medley relay. The A team, consisting of Sean Doran, Caden Hardy, Christopher Dauser, and Ethan McCormac placed first (1:34.83). The B team consisting of Jacob Macrina, Luciano Mattoli, Sief Sallam, and Adrian Bankowski finished second (1:36.96).
• The women relay consisting of Charlotte Lepis, Sophia Swanson, Margaret Hartman, and Nellie Thompson placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:40.04)
• The women relay consisting of Veronica Stureborg, Lucie Gray, Sophia Swanson, and Nellie Thompson finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:51.69).
• Swimmer Madeline Healey placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:43.77).
• Diver Ethan Gibbs placed first in the one-meter dive (247.43) and second in the three-meter dive (237.75).
• James Conable placed first in the 200-yard IM (1:57.25).

• The men bolster their record to 5-2 on the season.
• The women's record drops to 4-3 on the season.
