POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has named volleyball's Sasha van der Merwe as Molten MAAC Player of the Week for her efforts this past weekend. This comes as her third MAAC POTW selection this season.

Sasha van der Merwe played a critical role in both of the Red Foxes' matches this past week, collecting 46 kills and 14 digs. Playing in a total of eight sets, she averaged 5.75 kills and 6.38 points per set.

She is currently ranked seventh all-time for Marist volleyball in career kills with 1,079 and eighth all-time in single season career kills with 409.
