BOSTON, Massachusetts - The Marist men's track team turned in several impressive performances at Saturday's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University.
Sophomore Amari Mathis led the way with two personal-best marks, including an IC4A qualifying time of 6.94 in the 60m dash, where he placed second overall. Additionally, he achieved a top-five finish in the 200m dash with a time of 22.45.
Senior Easton Eberwein also had a strong season debut. He ran a personal-best 22.94 in the 200 dash and secured a top-10 finish in the 400, crossing the finish line in 50.15 seconds, which was good for ninth place.
Senior John Ignacz (2:00.33, 24th) ran a personal-best in the 800m.
Freshmen Raffi Buchakjian (2:32.89, 10th) secured a top-10 finish in the 1,000m run, while Sean Dearie (2:34.55, 13th) followed closely behind.
