Amari Mathis led the men's track & field team at the Wagner Invitational on Friday at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. He beat the previous 300-meter dash school record of 36.26 set by Tim Johnson in 2016 as he crossed the finish line in 36.01 (31st).
Easton Eberwein (32nd, 36.02) also set a new personal-best and beat the previous record.Â
In addition to collecting a school record, Mathis placed sixth in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 6.93.Â
Ian Wiesinger (4:27.00, 8th) ran a personal-best and
John Ignacz (4:31.41, 10th) gave the Red Foxes two top-10 finishers in the one-mile run.Â
Ryan Wisker (9:10.31, 10th) and Thomas Cavuoto (9:11.89, 14th) both ran personal-best times in the 3,000-meter run.
