BUFFALO, New York - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference swim and dive championships concluded the first day of competition.

Through five events the men's team finds themselves in second place with 103 points. This lands the team only two points behind first place Rider University.

 

Highlights

• The relay team consisting of Sean Doran, Caden Hardy, Christopher Dauser, and Ahmed Sallam won the silver medal in the 200-yard medley relay (1:28.75). The relay time set a new school record for Marist.
• The relay team for the 800-yard freestyle relay won silver in the final event of day one (6:36.76). The relay team consisted of Christopher Dauser, James Conable, Ethan McCormac, and Ahmed Sallam. The time set in the 800-yard relay set a new Marist school record.
• Freshman Diver Ethan Gibbs placed fifth in the one-meter final, a podium finish (234.50). Tyler Wenzel finished seventh in the one-meter dive (212.70).
  • Carson Barry placed ninth in the one-meter final (207.45).
• Sean Doran set a new school record in the 50-yard backstroke (25.90).
