POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's basketball team will play at Iona this Thursday, March 2 at 4:30 p.m.  This will be the Red Foxes second to last game of the regular season.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• Marist fell to Niagara 74-56 in their final home game of the season.
• Kiara Fisher led the Red Foxes with 16 points, two assists, and a team-high three steals.
• Zaria Shazer finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.
• Catie Cunningham contributed with eight points, three rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
• Kendall Krick finished with seven points and seven rebounds.
• Marist shot 18-for-45 from the field (.400) while Niagara shot 28-for-76 (.368). 
• The Purple Eagles outrebounded the Red Foxes 46-36 including 24-6 on the offensive glass.
• Niagara forced 21 Marist turnovers while only turning the ball over eight times themselves.

ABOUT IONA

• The Gaels were named MAAC Regular Season Champions and clinched playoffs after going 17-1 in MAAC play with a 22-5 overall record.
• Their sole loss in the regular season comes from a 49-43 loss to Fairfield (Dec. 19).
• The Gaels average about 64.0 points per game and only allow 53.8 points per game.
• Iona's Ketsia Athias leads the MAAC in total rebounds with 214 total averaging 7.9 points per game.
• The Red Foxes fell to the Gaels 55-76 in their matchup earlier this season (Dec. 31).
• In their previous matchup, Kiara Fisher led the Red Foxes with 20 points. Fisher shot 6-for-10 from the field and 6-for-8 from three.
• Zaria Shazer also scored in double figures with 19 points.
