POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist head football coach
Jim Parady has announced the addition of four new assistant coaches to his staff.

Jacob Hallenbeck is the Red Foxes' new tight ends coach. Kyle Suta will work with the running backs. Ian Grant is the new assistant offensive line coach. Mike Connolly will serve as a defensive assistant.

Hallenbeck played quarterback at Marist from 2016-19. He graduated from Marist in the spring of 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and he was a four-time Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll selection. For the past two seasons, Hallenbeck was wide receivers coach, special teams coordinator, and video coordinator at Wesleyan. He was an offensive quality control coach at Wofford from 2020 into the Spring 2021 season.

Suta was most recently running backs coach at Wagner this past season. Prior to that, he was a defensive quality control assistant at Brown. Suta began his coaching career at Monmouth, where he was a student assistant for two seasons followed by a year as an offensive quality control/assistant tight ends coach. Monmouth won two Big South championships in his time there. Suta earned his Bachelor's degree in Communications from Monmouth in 2020.

Grant was an offensive lineman at Marist from 2016-19, seeing action at both guard spots. He was a two-time selection to the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll and was inducted into the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Grant graduated Cum Laude from Marist in the spring 2020. From 2020-22, Grant served as head junior varsity coach at Allentown High School in his hometown of Allentown, New Jersey.

Connolly comes to Marist with extensive success and experience in the scholastic ranks. He was the head coach at Cornwall High School from 2014-18 and was also the program's defensive coordinator. Connolly was a four-time Class A Coach of the Year, and was the Section 9 Coach of the Year in 2017. From 2007-14, Connolly was an assistant varsity coach at Monroe-Woodbury High School. He was the defensive coordinator from 2012-14.

The Marist football team will open its season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Georgetown. The Red Foxes' home opener and first of their five home games will be on Saturday, Sept. 16 against Davidson.
