STATEN ISLAND, New York - The Marist men's track team returned from over a month long hiatus of competition by participating with a partial squad in Friday's St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Amari Mathis set a new personal best in the 60-meter dash (6.92) as he secured a top-two finish. He also finished 11th in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 22.64 seconds.
Matthew Ferreri placed 5th in the 800-meter run as he finished in a personal best time of 1:58.62. Jeremy Mbogo (4:24.97, 14th) also ran a personal best to give the Red Foxes a top-15 finish in the mile run.
