POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The first week of the 2024-25 season Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference weekly awards released for swim & dive. The Red Foxes swept the swimming weekly awards after their first meet of the season.

April Avila was named women's Swimmer of the Week for an outstanding performance at the Army Tri-Meet. Caden Hardy was named men's Swimmer of the Week, leading the men's team with two podium finishes.

Caden Hardy placed on the podium in the 50-yard breaststroke for the Red Foxes. Hardy posted an impressive time of 25.92 in the race, which was the fastest Red Fox time in the race.

Hardy also placed on the podium in the 100-yard breaststroke, giving him two podium finishes. Hardy finished in third with a time of 56.71.

April Avila dominated the sixth event for the Red Foxes in the 50-yard breaststroke. The sophomore finished second overall out of 12 swimmers with a speedy time of 29.62.

Avila once again showed her speed in the 100-yard breaststroke in the meet. Avila swam to a second-place finish in the meet with a time of 1:04.69.
