NEW ROCHELLE, New York- The Marist men's soccer team's fell in its MAAC match against the Iona Gaels, Wednesday afternoon. The Red Foxes fell in the midweek match 1-0 against the Gaels, moving to 2-2 in MAAC play.
Arion Ulaj led the Red Foxes with two shots on goal in the match. The Red Foxes moved to 5-7 overall on the 2024 season.
The Red Foxes currently sit in sixth place in the MAAC standings, as eight teams make the playoffs for the 2024 season.
- "The guys fought hard and deserved something from the game. Even down a man, we created chances and kept pushing. The margins are so small between two good teams and unfortunately, we were on the wrong side of it this afternoon. We need to keep working and we will find the results. We control our destiny right now, so we'll be ready to go Saturday night."

- Jamie Lowell started the match with a save in the fourth minute for the Red Foxes, which kept Iona off the scoreboard in the early minutes of the match.
- A defensive match between the Red Foxes and Gaels would continue midway through the first half. The Red Foxes attempted three shots through the first 25 minutes of the match but were held scoreless.
