POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist men's soccer generated numerous chances, but was unable to put one home, as the Red Foxes played to a scoreless draw with Merrimack Saturday evening inside Tenney Stadium.
Graduate student goalkeeper
Jamie Lowell tallied six saves in the match en route to his third shutout of the 2024 campaign.
With the draw, Marist moved to 5-7-1 on the season and 2-2-1 in the MAAC, while Merrimack moved to 2-10-2 overall and 1-3-1 in conference play.
Frustrating result but we need to be better from kickoff. Merrimack is difficult to play against and we could've been more simple, especially early. The second half urgency was much better, we just couldn't get on the end of anything. Late in the season is a grind and we need to embrace that and continue to fight. I have faith the guys can do it.
