POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team fell to Valparaiso, 17-14, in a Pioneer Football League contest at Tenney Stadium on Saturday.

- After Valparaiso scored on its opening drive, Marist answered on its opening with a one-yard touchdown run by Tristan Shannon. The score was 7-7 after 15 minutes.
- Marist took a 14-7 lead on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Sonny Mannino to Will Downes. However, Valparaiso answered with 18 seconds left in the half on Mike Mansaray's second rushing touchdown of the game. The teams went to the locker room tied at 14.
- Ryan Hawk's 25-yard field goal gave Valparaiso a 17-14 lead with two seconds left in the third quarter. This accounted for the final points of the contest.
- Marist drove to the Valparaiso 28 on its final drive, but was unable to score.

- Downes caught five passes for 78 yards and a touchdown.
- Carter James led the Red Foxes with 42 rushing yards on 11 carries.
- Mannino completed 21 of 38 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. He added 36 rushing yards on 10 carries.
- Kade Werner led the Red Foxes with 13 tackles.
- Miles Kauderer and Nick Jackson each notched sacks.
