FAIRFIELD, Connecticut - The Marist volleyball team was defated 3-0 by Fairfield on Sunday afternoon.
Taylor Miller hit for .217 with nine kills in the loss.
Jamison White collected 20 assists and eight digs.

Marist would perform strongly to start the first set with both teams within one point of each other throughout the start. The Red Foxes would push the pace for large portions of the frame with Fairfield doing its best to keep up. With the Red Foxes leading at 15-14, the Stags would go on a four-point streak to separate themselves at 18-15. Though the Red Foxes would once again tie things at 20-20, they would struggle to reclaim control of the set.
Fairfield would go on to take the set 25-22.

Unlike the tightly contested first set, the second started with Fairfield scored eight of the first 10 points. Throughout this frame, the stags would a lead reaching as big as 13 at several points. Marist would struggle to score consecutive points in the second set.
The Stags would Dominate en-route to a 25-13 set.

Fairfield did not relinquish control of the match in the third set, with the Stags jumping out to an 8-4 lead. Marist would attempt to take a lead as the Red Foxes would battle back to tie things up at 12-12. The Stags would prevent this after going on a three-point rally. The Red Foxes would again put on the pressure, going on a three-point rally of their own to put the score at 21-16. Fairfield would call a timeout to attempt to halt the Surging Red Foxes.
The timeout would pay-off as the Stags would go on to take the set 25-19.
