HAMDEN, Conn. – Marist women's soccer relinquished three first-half goals and could not recover, as the Red Foxes came up short on the road against MAAC foe Quinnipiac, 3-0, Wednesday afternoon inside the Quinnipiac Soccer Stadium.
With the loss, Marist fell to 2-8-2 on the campaign and 2-4-1 in the MAAC, while Quinnipiac improved to 8-2-1 on the season and 6-0-0 in conference play.

- Ella Gagno fed Bianca D'Onofrio, who sent a cross to Courtney Chochol. Chochol shot it low past the keeper to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute
- Aisling Spillane scored on a rebound after a shot from Gagno to extend QU lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute
- Rachel Roman cleaned up a shot in front of the net to push the Bobcat lead to 3-0
- Olivia Lindsay led the Red Foxes with four shots
- Quinnipiac outshot Marist, 13-9
- Quinnipiac generated seven corners, compared to four for Marist
- After their matchup against Quinnipiac, the Red Foxes will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 16, when they play host to Niagara inside Tenney Stadium
- The match is set for a 2 p.m. start on ESPN+
