POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist volleyball team fell on Senior Day with a 3-0 loss to Canisius on Saturday at McCann Arena.
Alyssa White tallied five blocks to lead the team.
Cecilia Potter-Pessoa recorded 14 digs and four assists.
Dasic led the Red Foxes offensively with 14 kills.

The Red Foxes and the Golden Griffins would trade blows throughout the first half of the set to even the score at 11-11. From this point forward Canisius controlled the frame. The Golden Griffins led for the remainder of the set and that lead grew to as much as seven points on four separate instances.
Canisius would secure the opening frame 25-19.

The second set opened in a similar fashion as Marist and Canisius battled to even the score at 11-11. The back-and-forth duel would continue as the teams found themselves tied at 16-16. Late in the frame, the Red Foxes would lead by as much as three points to make the score 23-20. The Golden Griffins climbed back and evened the score at 23-23. From then, the contest would remain in stalemate on three more occasions.
The road team would eventually win the set 28-26

The Golden Griffins got off to an early lead thanks to a five-point rally to make the score 7-2. Canisius would continue this push and extend the lead to eight points on four separate instances. The Red Foxes would respond and cut the deficit to one point to make the score 23-22.
Canisius would regain control to win the set 25-22 and secure the match victory.
