FAIRFAX, Virginia- The Marist women's swim and dive team finished its first day of competition at the Patriot Invitational, Thursday evening. Eydis Kolbeinsdottir finished with the highest-placing for the Red Foxes, with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard IM.

Electric Eydis

• Eydis Kolbeinsdottir finished with a top-four finish in 200-yard IM, the highest finish for the Red Foxes. Kolbeinsdottir finished fourth, swimming her way to a time of 2:05.01.
• Kolbeinsdottir continued her dominant 2024-25 season in the first day of the Patriot Invitational.
• Kolbeinsdottir returned to the Red Foxes after competing in the Icelandic Short Course Nationals.

  

Notable Finishes

• The Red Foxes finished with five athletes in the finals on day one of competition.
• The Red Foxes A relay team finished 10^th overall in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team consisting of Eydis Kolbeinsdottir, April Avila, Rian Dickman, and Margaret Hartman swam to a time of 1:37.99.
• Charlotte Lepis finished with the fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle for the Red Foxes, placing 14^th overall. Lepis swam to a time of 5:00.72.
  • Maddie Healey swam the next fastest for the Red Foxes in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing 20^th with a time of 5:04.07.
• Rae Dodson placed top-20 in the 200-yard IM final for the Red Foxes. Dodson swam her way to a ninth-place finish with a time of 2:07.15.
