POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist volleyball team was defeated by Rider in straight sets on Sunday afternoon.
Jamison White collected 26 assists in the loss.
Taylor Miller led the Red Foxes' offense with 11 kills while hitting .214.
Sara Dasic tallied 10 kills and six digs.

The opening frame of the match with neither team able to create any real separation on the score sheet. At roughly halfway through the set with the score at 14-11 in favor of the Red Foxes, the Broncs would go on a seven-point streak to pick up the lead and sway the momentum in their favor. The Red Foxes would try to reclaim the momentum afterwards but could not stop the Broncs from going on another six-point streak to put the score at 23-16.
The Broncs would eventually go on to take the set 25-17.

Like the first set, the second would be tightly contested in the early stages with the teams knotted up at 7-7. The Broncs would later take advantage on the back of a six-point rally to put the Broncs up 15-10. The Red Foxes would not be out of the fight however, later taking the lead off a four-point rally to put the Red Foxes up 19-18 with contributions from
Taylor Miller and
Sarah Bumstead.
The Broncs would again overcome the Red Foxes advantage and would eventually take the set 25-21.

The Red Foxes and Broncs would once again battle through the early stages of the third set, neither team able to take total control. With the score sitting at 7-7 Rider would begin to push the advantage, going on a three-point streak to force the Red Foxes to call a timeout. With the score at 13-9 the Broncs would go on a four-point rally to put the Broncs up 17-9. The Broncs would continue to press the advantage, going up 21-10 before the Red Foxes were able to respond.
The Broncs would go on to win the set 25-16
