CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts – The Marist men's basketball team fell by a score of 79-66 to Harvard at Lavietes Pavilion in the season opener for both teams on Monday.

- Marist's first points of the season came on a Jaden Daughtry three with 15:33 left in the first half.
- Parby Kabamba's first collegiate points came on a three-pointer at the 14:09 mark, tied the game at 14 apiece and erased a seven-point Harvard lead.
- Harvard expanded its lead to eight, but Marist took the lead with a 12-3 run that included five points from Elijah Lewis and four from Jason Schofield.
- Harvard then countered with a 9-0 run. The Crimson took a 41-34 lead to the locker room.
- Harvard expanded its lead to game high of 21 near the midway point of the second half, but Marist clawed back with a 10-0 run that included three points from Caleb Mackrey and Lewis. However, Harvard then scored the next seven points, and the final margin of 13 was the closest in the final eight minutes.
- Josh Pascarelli led the Red Foxes with 24 points. He shot 10-for-16 from the field and 3-for-7 from three-point range.
- Jadin Collins-Roberts gave Marist two double-digit scorers with 11. Collins-Roberts and Pascarelli each has three assists.
- Kabamba led Marist with six rebounds.
- Daughtry tallied four steals.
- Harvard shot .625 (30-for-48) from the field. Robert Hinton led the Crimson with 27 points.

- Pascarelli had the fifth 20-point game of his career.
- This was Marist's first meeting with Harvard, and the Red Foxes' first trip to Lavietes Pavilion, since 1999.
