GENEVA, Ohio- The Marist women's swim and dive team finished the MAAC Championships in third place, Saturday night. Red Foxes Nellie Thompson set a new MAAC record in the 100-yard freestyle, earning gold in the process.

The Red Foxes finished with 598 points, finishing behind second place Fairfield and MAAC Champion Niagara.
 

Podium Finishes

• Nellie Thompson earned gold in the 100-yard freestyle for the Red Foxes (50.35).
  • Thompson set a new MAAC record for her time in the 100-yard freestyle.
• Maddie Healey earned silver in the 1650-yard freestyle for the Red Foxes (17:17.93).
  • This marked the second silver Healey earned at the MAAC Championships.
• April Avila earned silver in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.08.

 

Notable Finishes

• The 400-yard freestyle relay consisting of Rian Dickman, Charlotte Lepis, Margaret Hartman, and Nellie Thompson placed fifth with a time of (3:29.64).
• Caitlyn Riordan placed seventh in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.78.
• Genevieve O'Neil placed fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.43.
• Mikayla Rapuano placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.45.
• Melanie Nunn placed sixth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.29.
• Sophia Swanson placed eighth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.15
