Red Foxes Head to UMass for Midweek Matchup With Minutemen

Men's Lacrosse Aims to Move to 3-0 to Open 2024 Campaign

AMHERST, Massachusetts – The Marist men's lacrosse team aims to open its season at 3-0 for the first time since 2021 when it travels to take on UMass for its first road contest of 2024. The contest is set to start at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Marist men's lacrosse team defeated the Jacksonville Dolphins by a score of 9-8 in a thrilling contest at Tenney Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
  • Overtime was needed to separate the two teams and Jake Deacy came through for the Red Foxes, scoring the game-winning goal with 33 seconds left.
  • Drew Anderson tallied four goals in the game, his first four of the season.
  • Noble Smith recorded 16 saves for Marist.

  • Junior goalkeeper Noble Smith has been lights out for the Red Foxes this season in net.
  • Smith leads the MAAC with a 8.79 GAA

  • UMass picked up a 10-7 victory over UMass Lowell in its home-opener on Feb. 17.
  • UMass has four players that leads the team in scoring with three goals apiece.
  • Matt Knote is 1-1 on the season in net and boasts a 10.0 GAA and .565 save percentage.
