Marist Softball Wins Fourth Straight

Red Foxes Topple Gardner-Webb, 6-2

BOILING SPRINGS, North Carolina – The Marist softball team won its fourth straight game on Sunday.
 
The Red Foxes closed out play in the Red & Black Classic with a 6-2 victory over host Gardner-Webb.
 
Summary
  • Marist opened the scoring in first, when Haley Ahr's sacrifice fly brought home Miah McDonald.
  • After Gardner-Webb tied the game in the bottom of the second, Marist re-claimed the lead in the third when McDonald's sacrifice fly brought in Peyton Pusey.
  • Gardner-Webb loaded the bases with one out in the fourth, but Anna Sidlowski recorded two strikeouts to end the inning.
