Men’s Basketball Falls at Saint Peter’s

Daughtry Finishes with Career-High 15 Rebounds

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey – The Marist men's basketball team fell at Saint Peter's by a score of 69-60 on Sunday.
 
Summary
  • Saint Peter's opened the scoring on a Corey Washington three-pointers, but Marist answered by scoring six straight. The Red Foxes held the Peacocks scoreless for 5:11.
  • A Jadin Collins layup at the 9:24 mark staked Marist to a five-point lead, but Saint Peter's countered with eight straight points.
  • With 6:46 left in the first half, Josh Pascarelli drained a three-pointer. From this point until halftime, Marist outscored Saint Peter's 17-6. The Red Foxes led 38-30 at halftime.
  • Two free throws by Jackson Price with 17:54 remaining gave Marist its first double-digit lead at 40-30. The Red Foxes took their largest lead on a three-pointer by Pascarelli with 16:03 left.
  • A 7-0 run brought Saint Peter's to within three with 9:33 left. An 8-0 run by the Peacocks gave them a 55-53 lead with 3:56 left.
  • With 3:24 remaining, Corey Washington converted a four-point play for Saint Peter's. From that point forward, the Peacocks outscored the Red Foxes 14-6.
