"First, I want to give credit to Coach Slater and Fordham for a hard fought battle," Said Director of Tennis,
Deepak Sharma, "They did a great job in doubles and we had our hands full in singles. The final score doesn't indicate how tight this match was."
"About the win, the boys dug deep and fought hard on every court after losing a close doubles point. It says a lot about the depth of this team that all six singles matches ended in our favor. Alejandro deserves a ton of credit for his performance in singles and doubles, both resulting in wins. He clinched the victory for us and we needed him as the remaining matches were up in the air. He had a great week of practice and it was good to see his hard work payoff."Â
"Ultimately, it's our professional mindset, never say die attitude and playing for one another that is the reason we won tonight. We'll enjoy this one for a day then get ready to play an excellent Lehigh team next Saturday at home."
Â
The Red Foxes are set to host Lehigh on Saturday, March 2. The match is set for 4 p.m.
