POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's lacrosse team will open its 2024 season at home inside Tenney Stadium this upcoming Saturday, Feb. 10. For the first time since 2021, the Red Foxes will begin their season in Poughkeepsie. The game is scheduled for 12 p.m. on ESPN+.
- The men's lacrosse program was picked second in the MAAC Coaches Preseason Poll
- The Red Foxes earned 91 points in the poll, with four first-place votes.
- Last season, the men's lacrosse team finished third in the regular season with a 6-3 MAAC record.
- In the conference tournament, the Red Foxes won three consecutive games to be crowned as the MAAC Tournament champions for the fourth time in program history and for the third time under Head Coach Keegan Wilkinson.
- Following the MAAC Championship victory, the Red Foxes advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in program history.
- Marist took on Delaware in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament and came up short on the road.
- Marist will take on Bucknell for the ninth time in history.
- The Red Foxes came away with a 14-11 win the last time the two sides met, marking the program's first-ever victory over Bucknell on March 4, 2023.
- Jojo Pirreca led the way with six goals in the victory.
- Bucknell enters the contest at 0-1 on the early 2024 campaign.
- The Bison fell short in its season-opener against Merrimack on the road on Feb. 3., 14-10.
- Connor Davis led the way with five goals for Bucknell.
- The Red Foxes will host Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb. 17.
