"First, credit to Coach Enzler and Seton Hall for the win, said Director of Tennis,
Deepak Sharma, "It was an excellent match today in windy conditions, and it came down to three matches battling in the third set - unfortunately we came up a little short."
"We responded well in singles on most courts and Ellie really stepped up at #4, winning in straight sets and providing a boost for the team."
"Cloe deserves a lot of credit for her hard fought victory at #1 after losing the first set. She was able to move past a tough doubles match and first set in tough conditions and persevere."
"Vi and Cati left it all out there for their team and gave us a chance to pull this out."
"I noticed the weather appeared to be an issue for some of our players. This cannot be a reason for slow starts nor lackluster performances when your team depends on you, and others are completing similar assignments in the same conditions."
Saturday, March 30 vs Monmouth
Women's Team
"There's no way to sugar coat this loss, and based off the scouting report from Coach Nesbitt, I felt this was a very winnable match", Said Director of Tennis,
Deepak Sharma.
"I'm disappointed in the lack of focus, slow starts on some courts while others appeared resigned in their second sets."
"Losing is a part of growing as a tennis playing, and no harm if you're competing hard, however in the manner in which we did vs. Monmouth is very concerning."
"We can teach concepts, provide guidance and assemble practice agendas, however pride in your play and team has to come from within."
Men's Team
"This was a solid day for the guys as they competed well in tough conditions against their fifth nationally ranked opponent this season. They are battle tested and ready for MAAC play."
"Doubles wise, I noticed an improvement with transitioning to the net and less hesitation on volleys. We'll need to keep that mindset heading into conference play."
