POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's lacrosse team picked up a gutsy 14-13 win over conference-rival Siena in a nationally televised battle at Tenney Stadium on Wednesday night.
With the victory Marist improves to 6-6 overall and 3-4 in the MAAC. Siena drops to 5-7 on the year and 3-4 in conference play.

- Siena struck first, opening the scoring at the 13:03 mark.
- Peter Murray responded for the Red Foxes, firing home his seventh goal of the season.
- Collin Patrick dug the ball out of a double team and slotted it past the goalkeeper to give Marist a 2-1 advantage with 2:12 left in the opening frame.
- Noble Smith made five saves in the quarter to keep the Saints at bay.
- Stephen Bickel blasted the ball into the back of the net to get the scoring started in the second.
- The Saints quickly netted two consecutive goals within 30 seconds, leveling the score at 3-3.
- Jake Deacy lasered one from deep on the setup by Christian Colantonio to put the Red Foxes back in front.
- Murray buried his second goal of the day to increase the lead to 5-3 with 7:15 remaining in the half.
- Joshua Balcarcel fired one into the back of the net to put Marist up three.
- Less than a minute later, Siena slotted one, bringing the score to 6-4 with 3:53 left in the second quarter.
- The Saints got the scoring started in the second half to get back within one.
- Sam Ferrel answered for Marist, tucking the ball low and away to make it 7-5.
- Murray completed the hat trick with a difficult on-the-run jump shot that he slotted in the back of the net.
- Siena responded less than a minute later to make it 8-6 with 10:53 to go in the third quarter.
- Balcarcel buried his 50th career goal on a beautiful setup by Collin Patrick to put the Red Foxes back up three.
- Murray's fourth goal of the night put the Red Foxes up four with 7:19 remaining in the third.
- The Red Foxes increased the lead to 11-6 with a goal from Sean Mullan on an assist by Balcarcel.
- Deacy fired in his second goal of the day on a setup by Colantonio to increase the Marist advantage to six.
