Red Foxes Set for MAAC Quarterfinals Home Matchup with Siena

Marist Men's Lacrosse Starts Quest to Repeat as Champs With Rival Saints

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The No. 4 seeded Marist men's lacrosse team opens its postseason with a matchup in the MAAC Quarterfinals with No. 5 seed Siena on Saturday, April 27. Opening face-off is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+ from Tenney Stadium.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  •  Joshua Balcarcel and Sean Mullan tallied a hat trick apiece to propel the Red Foxes past MAAC foe VMI, 14-10, on the road inside Drill Field #2 on Saturday afternoon.With the win, the Red Foxes clinched a spot in the MAAC Championship as the No. 4 seed.
  • Balcarcel led the offense with four goals and two assists for six points.
  • The hat trick marked the fifth of the season for Balcarcel.
  • Mullan added three goals for a hat trick.
  • Seven other players added a goal apiece for Marist.

  • The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men's lacrosse awards were announced Friday.
  • The Red Foxes had five athletes earn All-MAAC honors and 21 student-athletes named to the All-MAAC Academic Team.
  • Joshua Balcarcel was named to the All-MAAC First Team as a midfielder.
    • Balcarcel leads the team in goals (30), assists (21), and points (51).
    • Balcarcel scored his 50th career goal earlier this season.
