WILLIAMABURG, Virginia - The Marist men's track team had a strong weekend at the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary despite windy and chilly weather both days.
In his outdoor season debut,
Amari Mathis clocked an impressive 10.83 seconds in the 100-meter dash, securing an IC4A qualifying time and finishing seventh overall.
Kieran Donnelly gave Marist a second IC4A qualifier. He set a new personal record in the invitational 5,000-meter run, finishing in 14:39.20 which was good for a 22nd place finish in the event.
The Red Foxes also had a multitude of runners set new PRs: Freshman
Matthew Ferreri (1:57.01, 12th) in the 800,
Christopher Lynch (58.67, 14th) in the 400 hurdles,
Pierce Francis (15:40.67, 14th) in the 5k, and
Dennis Love (4:03.42, 17th) and
Raffi Buchakjian (4:03.58, 18th) in the 1,500.
