EASTON, Pennsylvania – The Marist football team fell to #19/18 Lafayette by a score of 56-14 at Fisher Field on Saturday.

- Lafayette scored first on a blocked punt, but the Red Foxes answered on their next drive with an eight-yard touchdown pass from Enzo Arjona to Mohamed Diawara. The drive covered 75 yards in nine plays in 4:20.
- Jamar Curtis scored an eight-yard rushing touchdown at the 4:23 mark of the first quarter, which gave Lafayette the lead for good.
- In the second quarter, Curtis added two rushing touchdowns, and Lafayette added a touchdown on a punt return to take a 35-7 lead to the locker room.
- The Leopards expanded their lead to 56-7 after three quarters.
- Sonny Mannino connected with Diawara on a four-yard touchdown pass. This was set up by a 39-yard pass from Mannino to Jack Rilling two plays earlier.

- Rilling led Marist with 58 receiving yards, and tied Carter James for the team high with four receptions.
- Tristan Shannon led Marist with 35 rushing yards.
- Conor Fitzgibbon paced the defense with eight tackles, including seven solo stops. He had a tackle for loss, and he forced a fumble that Anthony Cometro recovered.

- With a ranking of #18 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll, Lafayette is the highest-ranked team Marist has ever faced.
- This was Diawara's first two-touchdown game as a Red Fox.
- This is the first time Marist has faced Lafayette since 2008, and it's the Red Foxes' first trip to Lafayette since 2007.
