EAST LANSING, Michigan – The Marist volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by Michigan State on Saturday, September 7. This match marked the conclusion of the Kathy DeBoer Invitational for the Red Foxes.

Set 1
- Though the Red Foxes took two of the first five points, Michigan would then take command of the first set going on an 11-point streak to put the score a 15-2.
- The Red Foxes would put up strong resistance after this, taking seven of the next 12 points.
- It would not be enough however as the Spartans would go on to take the set 25-10.
Set 2
- The Red Foxes started strong in the second set, taking six of the first nine points.

- The Red Foxes were unable to maintain their lead as the Spartans would battle back to eventually take the set 25-13.
Set 3
- The Red Foxes would battle to a 5-5 score early in the third set
- The Spartans would take control of the set shortly after, going up 18-10.
- Despite the Red Foxes efforts, the Spartans would go on to take the set 25-14.

- The Red Foxes are set to compete in the Blue Hen Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware from Sept. 13-14.
- Marist will face off against the University of Delaware on Friday, Sept. 13 and Howard on Saturday, Sept. 14.
