LOUDONVILLE, NY. – Junior
Morgan Lee tallied 19 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double, but it wasn't enough, as Marist women's basketball came up short against MAAC rival Siena on the road, 62-46, Thursday evening inside the UHY Center.
Lee added four blocks to go along with her 19 points and 11 rebounds, while
Lexie Tarul contributed nine points in the loss, snapping the Red Foxes' four-game win streak.
With the loss, Marist fell to 11-9 on the season and 6-4 in the MAAC, while Siena improved to 10-9 on the campaign and 7-3 in conference play.

The Red Foxes got off to a blistering start, using the opening 3:26 of the contest to jump out to an 8-0 lead behind six swift points from
Lexie Tarul, forcing a Siena timeout.
Out of the timeout, the Saints responded with a swift 6-0 run of their own, but the Red Foxes were able to maintain their lead and carry a 13-11 advantage into the second.

The two sides were nearly even to start the second quarter, with Siena narrowly outpacing Marist 11-9 to tie the contest at 22-22 at the media timeout with 3:36 left in the half. After Marist took a three-point lead out of the break, the Saints closed the half with a 6-0 run to take a 28-25 lead into the halftime.

The two sides continued to trade scores to open the third, with Siena narrowly outscoring Marist 12-10 to carry a 40-35 lead into the media timeout with 4:15 left in the frame. Immediately out of the break, the Saints went on a quick 5-0 run to increase their lead to 10, forcing a Marist timeout.
The Red Foxes were able to trim the deficit to single digits, as Siena carried a 47-39 lead into the fourth.

Siena opened the fourth with a 6-3 run to extend the lead to 11, its largest of the game, forcing a Marist timeout with 6:10 left in the contest. The Red Foxes were never able to recover, as Siena held on for the 62-46 victory over Marist.
