ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I. - Marist opened the 2025–26 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam Friday evening at the Elridge Wilburn Blake Sports and Fitness Center, falling to No. 5 LSU by a 113-53 final.
LSU scored eight of the first 10 points of the game before a deep three-pointer from freshman Justine Henry cut the deficit down to just three, 8-5, a little over four minutes into the game. The Tigers scored the next 13 points, however, and led 21-5 at the end of the quarter. The fifth-ranked Tigers then continued to extend their lead as the game went on.
Justine Henry led Marist with a career-high 21 points on 4-of-8 shooting from deep, while Lexie Tarul added 11 points of her own. Marist hit 12 threes as a team, as Julia Corsentino led the bench unit in scoring with eight points of her own.
LSU finished 53.4 percent from the field and generated 44 points off turnovers and 72 points in the paint. Zakiya Johnson had 19 to lead LSU, and Kate Koval added 17.
Marist returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 5:00 p.m., to close play at the Paradise Jam.
