Nate Robinson Jr. and freshman defensive back
Chase Hatton of the Marist University football team both earned All-America honors from FCS Stats Perform on Wednesday.
Robinson was named a Third Team All-American, and Hatton was named to the Freshman All-America Team. This is the second All-America honor for both Robinson and Hatton this season. On Tuesday, Robinson was named an FCS Honorable Mention All-American by The Associated Press. Last week, Hatton was named a Freshman All-American by FCS Central.
Robinson was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented to the top defensive player in the FCS, and a First Team All-Pioneer Football League selection this season. He ranked among the FCS leaders all season long in passes defensed, and his total of 15 were the most by a Red Fox since 2002. Robinson was named a Freshman All-American by Phil Steele Publications last season.
Hatton was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, presented to the top freshman in the FCS, this season. He was named PFL Defensive Freshman of the Year and a Second Team All-PFL selection earlier this month. Among FCS freshmen in the regular season, Hatton ranked tied for first with four interceptions, and was tied for third with 89 tackles.
