EASTON, Pa. – The Marist University women's basketball team earned a 79-76 overtime win at Lafayette on Sunday afternoon at Kirby Sports Center.

Jackie Piddock led the way with a career-high 26 points (8-for-11 FGs, 6-for-6 FTs, 4-for-4 from three), six assists, four rebounds, and one steal. Junior forward

Lexie Tarul recorded her second career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

- Lafayette opened with back-to-back 3-pointers for an early 6-0 lead.
- Marist countered with a 10-0 run capped by a 3-pointer from junior guard Julia Corsentino.
- A driving layup from Corsentino gave the Red Foxes a 14-10 lead at the media timeout with 4:42 left in the quarter.
- Williamsen knocked down a 3-pointer to extend the advantage to 18-10 with 2:42 remaining.Â
- Piddock buried a 3-pointer to close the period, giving Marist a 21-15 lead.
- The Red Foxes led 28-22 at the media timeout with 4:05 left in the half as Henry scored twice and Williamsen hit her second 3-pointer.
- Marist took a 30-24 lead into halftime.
- Williamsen opened the second-half scoring with a mid-range jumper, but Lafayette responded with an 8-0 run to tie the game at 32-32 with 8:59 remaining.
- The Leopards hit six straight field goals to take a 40-38 lead, prompting a Marist timeout at the 6:33 mark.
- Neither team created separation the rest of the period, and a basket from Fischer before the buzzer sent Marist into the fourth with a 50-48 lead.
- The teams continued to trade baskets. Piddock drained her fourth 3-pointer with 1:56 left to push Marist ahead 66-63, but Lafayette tied the game with 11 seconds remaining.
- Marist couldn't get a shot off on the final possession, sending the game to overtime.
- The Red Foxes scored the first three points of the extra period on a Tarul free throw and a Williamsen mid-range jumper and never trailed, outscoring Lafayette 13-10 to close out the 79-76 win.
- Piddock set a new career high with 26 points and tied her career marks in field goals made (8), 3-pointers made (4), and free throws made (6).
