GENEVA, Ohio- The Marist swim and dive team finished a strong first day of the 2025 MAAC Championships. The Red Foxes 200-yard medley relay team secured a new Marist record in the final heat.

The Red Foxes currently sit in fourth place with 58 points after one day of competition.

• "We got off to a great start, breaking the school record for a hard-fought fifth place. We came back with a solid 800 free relay performance, which was a six second improvement from last year. Notable Finishes, Swim

• In the first event of the evening, the Red Foxes set a new school record in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Lauren Castellani, April Avila, Sophia Swanson, and Eydis Kolbeinsdottir placed fifth with a record-breaking time of 1:43.37.
  • The time gave the Red Foxes their first new record of the Championships.
• In the final event of the evening, The Red Foxes 800-yard relay team placed fourth overall in the heat. Kolbeinsdottir, Charlotte Lepis, Melanie Nunn, and Maddie Healey led the relay with a time of 7:33.19, which led to the top-four finish.
