POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The only lead the Marist University men's lacrosse team had all game came at the only time it mattered.
The Red Foxes stunned Binghamton, 10-9 at Tenney Stadium on Saturday. Marist scored three unanswered goals in the final 1:21 to erase a late two-goal deficit. The first two came from
Collin Patrick, who tied the score with 45 seconds left.
Sean Mullan then scored the game-winner as time expired off a feed from
Drew Anderson to complete the comeback, which was upheld after official review.
- Binghamton scored the first three goals of the contest.
- Steven Cain got the Red Foxes on the scoreboard with a man-up goal, which was set up by Patrick at the 3:51 mark.
- Binghamton led 3-1 after 15 minutes.
- Mullan brought the Red Foxes within one at the 13:35 mark.
- After back-to-back Binghamton goals, Anderson brought Marist back to within one with a pair of goals. He scored at the 6:51 mark, and Jake Deacy set him up with one second left in the half.
