FAIRFIELD, Connecticut – The Marist University men's basketball team was defeated at Sacred Heart on Friday night by a score of 67-54.
- After Tanner Thomas' layup opened the scoring on Sacred Heart's first possession, Marist scored the next six, with four coming from Jadin Collins-Roberts.
- A three by Josh Pascarelli at the 14:41 mark gave Marist a 12-5 lead. Sacred Heart then countered by scoring the next 20.
- Sacred Heart led 32-24 at halftime.
- A Josh Pascarelli three cut Marist's deficit to five as the Red Foxes held the Pioneers scoreless for the first 3:40 of the half.
- A 6-0 run, which included four points from Collins-Roberts, brought Marist to within 48-45 and forced a Sacred Heart timeout with 8:19 remaining.
- Sacred Heart went on a 14-2 run to extend its lead to 15 with 2:26 left, and Marist never got closer than 12 the rest of the way.
- Pascarelli led Marist with 18 points.
- Collins-Roberts finished with 15 points, and tied Elijah Lewis for the team high with seven rebounds.
- Bryce Johnson led Sacred Heart with 22 points.
- Marist held Sacred Heart to .387 (24-for-62) shooting from the field and a .222 (6-for-27) mark from three-point range.
- Pascarelli has scored in double figures in every game this season.
- Collins-Roberts has at least seven rebounds in four straight games, and is averaging 7.8 per game in this span.
- This was the first time Marist faced Sacred Heart since 1980.
