Men's and Women's Tennis Wrap up Colorado Road Trip

USAF ACADEMY, CO—The Marist men's and women's tennis teams will continue competition through the weekend, looking to close out their Colorado road trip on a high note. The women will take on the Metropolitan State University of Denver on Saturday, March 15, and the men will face Idaho State on Sunday, March 16.

The women aim to extend their win streak to four while the men look to bounce back after falling to Air Force 4-0 on Saturday.

The women's match on Saturday is at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the men's match on Sunday is at noon ET.
 
Last Time out for the women
  • Marist defeated Colorado College 4-3 in the first match of its Colorado road trip on Thursday.
  • Sophomore Caterina Assi was victorious at #1 doubles alongside Partner Vihana Shresta, defeating their opponents 7-5. She also took a #1 singles victory, winning in two sets 6-1, 6-2.
  • Shresta took a hard-fought three-set victory at #3 singles, 6-3, 3-6, 1(12)-0(10).
  • Viktoria Lorentzon shored up the singles scoring for the Red Foxes, taking a two-set victory at #2 singles, 7(0)-6(0).
 
Last Time out for the Men
  • The Red Foxes were defeated by Air Force 4-0 on Friday.
  • The Red Foxes were held pointless for only the third time in 2025.
  • Gregor Heinemann was the Red Foxes' standout performer. He took the first set against his opponent at #2 singles before the match was left unfinished.
 
Scouting Metropolitan State University of Denver Women
  • The Roadrunners are 6-6 on the season.
  • They fell in their last matchup 4-2 to Texas Permian Basin
  • The Roadrunners took the doubles point against Texas Permian Basin, winning at #1 and #2 doubles.
  • Kim Heddes took the sole singles point of the match for the Roadrunners, winning at the #2 spot, 6-3, 6-2.
 
Scouting Idaho State Men
  • The Bengals, as of March 14, are 6-9.
  • In their last outing, they fell 6-1 to the University of Denver.
  • Valentino De Pellegrin earned the sole singles point of the match for the Bengals, winning at #2, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
  • Jowan Rawson, Sam Wensley, and Quentin Lamonthe fell at #3, #4, and #5, all in three sets.
