RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. – The Marist men's and women's track & field teams travel to Richmond, Virginia for the Fred Hardy Invitational at the Fred Hardy Track for their first meet of the outdoor season. The event will be live-streamed on ESPN+.
 

PRESEASON POLLS

• The Marist men's track & field team was picked to finish fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll
• The Red Foxes garnered 59 points in the poll
• The women's track & field team was picked to finish ninth

 

WOMEN'S HISTORY AT FRED HARDY INVITATIONAL

• The Marist women's track and field team competed at the Fred Hardy Invitational last on Mar. 22nd, 2024. 
• Parker O'Brien secured a top-10 finish in the 1,500-meter run as she finished in 4:39.20, shattering her previous personal record time by nearly ten seconds.
• Samantha Kehler ran a strong race to give the Red Foxes a top-10 finish in the seeded 5,000-meter run, finishing in 18:02.46 which was good for 7th place. 
• Sierra Fisher set a huge new personal record in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:18.69 and locking in a 17th-place finish.
• Freshman Grace Murphy finished 5th in the javelin throw with a toss of 29.31 meters (96 feet, 2 inches).
• Kaitlyn Murtagh secured a top-five finish in the unseeded 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:18.43.

MEN'S HISTORY AT FRED HARDY INVITATIONAL

• The Marist men's track and field team competed at the Fred Hardy Invitational last on Mar. 22nd, 2024.
• Steven Viera secured a third-place finish in the unseeded 5,000-meter run, setting a new personal best time of 15:27.14.
• Dennis Love set a personal record time of 15:38.42, finishing 15th in the seeded 5,000-meter run.
• Alexander Pattison (15:43.18) and Pierce Francis (15:43.90) also set personal records while finishing 11th and 12th in the unseeded 5,000-meter run.

UP NEXT

• The teams will be back in action on Saturday Mar. 29th, when they will compete at the Rider 5-Way. ·
• The event will take place at the Rider University outdoor track.
