POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Marist men's tennis aims to return to the win column against Hudson Valley rival, Army, on Tuesday, April 1.

The Red Foxes look to close out their non-conference schedule on a high note at the Marist Tennis Pavilion at 4 p.m.
 

Last Time Out

• The Red Foxes fell to Sacred Heart 5-2 on Sunday, March 23.
• Jose Catala was victorious at #1 singles, defeating his opponent 6-1, 6-1.
• Augustin Damonte won at #4 singles, 7-6(5), 6-1.
• Jose Catala and Gregor Heineman took the Red Foxes' only doubles match of the day at the #2 spot, 6-4.

 

The Goose is Loose

• France-born Graduate Student Augustin Damonte has consistently performed for the Red Foxes throughout the 2025 Spring season.
• In singles, Damonte has a record of 7-2 and is 3-0 in MAAC Singles matchups.
• In his last two outings, against MAAC opponents Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart, Damonte defeated his opponents 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, and 7(7)-6(5), 6-1, respectively.

 

Scouting Army

• The Black Knights are 3-1 in the Patriot League and 9-4 overall, riding a six-match win streak heading into Tuesday's matchup against the Red Foxes.
• The Black Knights lead the Red Foxes 13-7 in the all-time series. Sweeping the Red Foxes 4-0 in the team's most recent matchup on March 17, 2024.
• Senior Jackson Armistead has been a key performer for the Army this season and is the reigning Patriot League Men's Player of the Week. With an overall singles record of 13-8, he played the lion's share of his matches at the #1 spot and is currently on a six-win streak, having not lost in over a month.
