Doughty Completes 2025-26 Roster

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Marist head women's basketball coach Erin Doughty announces four new additions to the team for the 2025-26 season.

The newest Red Foxes are rising freshman Justine Henry, as well of a trio of transfers in Kasey Bretones, Elle Bruschuk and Karly Fischer.

"We are extremely excited to add Karly, Kasey, Elle and Justine to our program for this upcoming season," Doughty stated. "All full needs that we had going into the off-season and enhance our strong core of returners. More importantly, they are high-character individuals who will add to our team chemistry and program culture."

Justine Henry - Freshman - Guard/Forward - 6-0 - Long Island, NY - The Mary Louis Academy
Henry joins the Red Foxes as a three-year varsity starter for The Mary Louis Academy. For her career, she averaged 16.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals per game. Henry earned NYSSWA Second Team All-State honors for 2025.

"??Justine is a long, versatile guard who has a knack for scoring. She has the ability to create for herself and others, as well as stretch the floor from three. She uses her length well on the defensive end and can be extremely disruptive." – Erin Doughty

Kasey Bretones - Sophomore - Guard - 5-11 - Linwood, NJ - Mainland Regional
Bretones joins the Red Foxes as a transfer from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was voted MVP of the Cape Atlantic League Tournament for her junior and senior years. During her senior year, she was voted to NJ.com's All-State Second Team, Group 3 First Team, and CAL Player of the Year. Bretones was also voted Jersey Sports Zone All-Hoop Zone Team for two consecutive years.

"Kasey is a versatile guard who will impact at multiple spots for us. She has a keen ability to create off the bounce and score through contact. She has a nose for the ball and gets her team extra opportunities with offensive rebounds. She is a great passer and is a proven threat from three." – Erin Doughty

Elle Bruschuk - Sophomore - Guard - 5-11 - Villa Park, IL - Willowbrook
Bruschuk joins the Red Foxes as a transfer from Wright State University. During her high school career, she totaled over 1,000 points, earning MVP honors for the Girls Varsity Willowbrook Basketball Team for two consecutive seasons. Bruschuk also won the Athlete of the Week for Basketball by Suburban Weekly two straight years, and was selected to the West-Suburban Gold All-Conference team, as well as the DuPage County All-Area Team for three years.

"Elle brings great energy to the four position. She moves well without the ball and loves to crash the offensive glass. She can score at all three levels and brings a toughness and intensity that will raise our level of play." – Erin Doughty

Karly Fischer - Junior - Forward - 6-2 - Tappan, NY - Albertus Magnus
Fischer joins the Red Foxes as a transfer from Fairfield University. As a senior, she was named the Rockland County Player of the Year in 2023. She received an Honorable Mention All-State selection by the New York State Sportswriters Association, along with being ranked the No. 13 prospect in NY Prep Girls Hoops. Fischer also competed in the Junior NBA Global Championship for the Northeast Region.

"Karly will add depth to our frontcourt. She can play inside and out and is deceptive in her ability to create off the bounce. She will be a defensive presence in the paint for us as well as enhance our rebounding. Karly is a fiery competitor who knows what it takes to be a successful post in the MAAC." – Erin Doughty
