POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University men's basketball team earned both team and individual awards from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Thursday.
Martin Kawa (Business Administration major),
Matt McCool (Business Administration major), and
Jackson Price (Psychology major) were named to the NABC Honors Court. This consists of juniors, seniors, and graduate students who finished the 2024-25 school year with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2.
Additionally, Marist earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for having a team cumulative GPA over 3.0.
"Education is one of the NABC's five core values, and we are proud to recognize the academic accomplishments of these programs and individual student-athletes across our sport," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson, in a statement released by the NABC. "The dedication and hard work of these athletes, along with their coaches and support staff members who prioritize academic success, deserves to be widely celebrated."
In the past seven years under the leadership of head coach
John Dunne, Marist has had 19 NABC Honors Court selections, and three NABC Team Academic Excellence awards.
The Red Foxes earned their fifth 20-win season in program history in 2024-25. Season ticket renewals for the 2025-26 season
