POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Pioneer Football League released its preseason coaches' poll on Monday afternoon:
 
1-San Diego, 94 points (five first-place votes, four seconds, one third)
2-Drake, 78 (three firsts, two seconds, one third)
3-St. Thomas, 72 (one first, two seconds)
4-Butler, 66 (one second, four thirds)
5-Dayton, 65 (one second, two thirds)
6-Morehead State, 64 (one first)
7-Presbyterian, 55 (one first, one second, one third)
8-Davidson, 53 (one third)
9-Marist, 24
10-Valparaiso, 18
11-Stetson, 16
 
On Tuesday, the Preseason All-PFL team will be released.
 
The Red Foxes are heading into their second season under the leadership of head coach Mike Willis in 2025. The first of Marist six home games and 12 games overall this season will take place on Friday, Aug. 29 against New Haven at 7 p.m.
