POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist women's tennis team had a highly successful showing at the Vassar Scramble, with six Red Foxes finishing the weekend undefeated in both singles and doubles. The team competed against five different schools over three days, showcasing their depth and skill.
Viktoria Lorentzon led the way at the top of the lineup, going unbeaten in #1 singles with impressive wins against opponents from Vassar, Hamilton, and New Paltz. Jane Wright also went undefeated in both singles and doubles, including a strong 6-1 victory at #3 doubles against Smith College.
The Red Foxes now turn their attention to an upcoming away match against Monmouth on September 27. The team will look to build on its momentum from a tight 5-2 win over the Hawks last spring.
