COMMERCE, Texas – The Marist University softball team lost to Southeast Missouri State, 7-6, on Saturday at the Lion Invitational.

The Red Foxes' second game of the day against Grambling was rained out. It will not be made up.

Against Southeast Missouri State,
Peyton Pusey scored the 200
th run of her career in the top of the fourth. She became the first player in Marist and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference history to accomplish this feat.

- Marist opened the scoring in the top of the first while Livia Wiltsie's single brought home Haley Ahr.
- Southeast Missouri State took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the second, and one more in the third.
- Marist grabbed the lead back with a five-run top of the fourth to go up 6-3. Wiltsie led off with a single, and the Red Foxes then received consecutive doubles off the bats of Isabella Manory, Sienna Kunze, and Maia Salvo. Salvo stole home on the front end of a double steal with Pusey, who then came home on a double by Ahr.
- Southeast Missouri State scored twice in the bottom of the fourth, and then tied the game in the sixth.
- With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Lilly Blagoue's single brought home Kamdan Hutton with the winning run.

- Marist had 10 hits. Pusey, Ahr, and Wiltsie led the way with two apiece.
- Wiltsie (two this, one walk) and Manory (one hit, two walks) each reached safely three times.
- Pusey stole two bases.
- Anna Sidlowski started and went the first 3.2 innings. Emma Bayor went 1.1, and Kaylie DeChicchis went the final 1.2.
- Blagoue and Brooklyn Saysoff each had four hits and two RBIs for Southeast Missouri State.
